Mapifest

A new editor, timetables, and maps that work offline

The new year brought the biggest round of changes since we started. Here's what's new.

A new editor

The editor has been rebuilt around the map. Pick a map style and watch your map change straight away, choose a separate style for dark mode, and switch on 3D buildings to give a city some depth.

Timetables for your places

A place can now carry its own schedule: opening hours, performances, talks. Visitors can star the entries they don't want to miss and find them again later.

Maps that work offline

Published maps keep working when the signal drops. Once a map has loaded, it stays usable without a connection, which matters on a festival field as much as on a hiking trail.

Statistics that track no one

Every map now has an Analytics tab that shows how many people opened it and what they looked at. There are no cookies and nobody is followed around the web: we analyze usage, but we never track users.

As always, the people using your map don't need to install anything or sign up. They open a link and they're in.
